Western

mayan%20calender_edited.jpg

On the Western continents, the Americas were home to among the most spiritually mature and wise people on the planet. There is an old, pure, grounded, comforting spirit found here. Yet another amazing nation up against colonization and imperialism, almost to the point of genocide. It's a travesty, an outrage, and a shame what happened in the Americas. To the original people of the Western continent, prophecy and divination were very important. In fact, some prophecies even spoke of the European occupation before it even took place. Our organization borrows from the Native American teachings quite a bit and the Five directions/branches of this whole Fundamental and its Five Lessons were based on their Directional Teachings.

Hopi Wheel.jpg

Above is what might be called a 'Medicine Wheel'. You may have heard of this term as well as 'medicine man'. But medicine would not be an adequate translation. It comes from words that would better translate as Mystery, Spirit, Chi, Prana, or any of the other words. One such word is Mide, its practitioners Midewiwin, which sounds a little like 'medicine' and is likely the reason medicine or medicine man is used as a translation.

These medicine wheels are a perfect representation of the importance and power of symbols. Within a simple color wheel such as this, not only is there a categorization in the same way we saw in the four elements, but the wheel served as a roadmap for various stories. Especially for perhaps the most important stories: our past and Prophecy for the future. They had stories containing ancient knowledge that described all of us being one people like the Tower of Babel. They described a Great Migration and the different peoples of the World. The White people of the North, the Black folk of the South, the Yellow brothers and sisters of the East and of course themselves, the Red men and women of the West (Mexicans and other Central and South American peoples are of this lineage). This is one of a multitude of things that the wheel depicted.

As you've probably already noticed, the colors on the wheel are subject to 'spinning' or changing.  You will see the different ways the wheel is used by different tribes.

It is important to check out the link in the button below, get in the spirit of this culture, and spend some time here to get to know the Medicine Wheel and just some of the people.

You will likely have already noticed that several seemingly separate tribes hold many of the same beliefs. Even ones separated by quite some distance. This serves as a great example of how and why we all share the same beliefs. They were at one time one people, all the way back to crossing the land bridge that used to exist between Russia and North America. When we peer back in time and look at the region where we would expect that they migrated through, we sure enough find the Oroqen people.

Oroqen Shaman

Last Oroqen Shaman.jpg

Not only are their dress and lifestyle similar to Native Americans, but so too are their beliefs. We can virtually track (even somewhat genetically) how over thousands of years people migrated from Tibet, through China and Russia to Beringia (the land bridge where they settled for quite some time) and eventually the Americas. This is where the East and West meet. In this way, we have come full circle in the Human Migration.

But don't think that it's so straightforward as to say that Native Americans are Asian or basically the same people in any way, shape, or form. Just like all races or nationalities, over time the people have evolved into their own unique genetic and cultural heritage. But it is an opportunity to show on a smaller scale how all of us have adapted from one family. The human family.

Many of the Native Americans never lost sight of that larger family tree. In fact, they considered the animals as part of that family tree. Of course, today we refer to the Tree of Life in terms of DNA and the knowledge of Evolution. We can now explicitly and empirically see that we truly are part of a larger family and ecosystem that we share with all life on Earth. The American Native inherently already knew this. What's more, they knew it on a deeper spiritual level. They lived it and acted in accordance with this fact. Most modern people do not act as if the plants and animals are part of their own family. Rather, they hardly regard other living beings.

Many who only see or hear one of the First People immediately get a sense of calm grace and stoic wisdom. Automatically, it imparts profound truth into our lives, and many are gravitated toward the teachings intently. Again, this comes from a certain spiritual maturity and a keen understanding of the inner workings of mankind as well as nature. Being accustomed to how events unfold in the world, certain cycles that are natural both within and without that many of us have lost sight of.

Often, the advice cuts right through to the root of the problem. This is from teachings passed down of truths that have been meditated on by many before them. Years have been spent, untold time considering the mind, the heart, the spirit and the body. What drives motivations, the causes and effects of things. Take some time hearing the talks throughout this page. They speak truth, no matter how self-evident it may seem, we often are not acting upon the obvious truths that we inherently know. So truly hear them.

Mother Moon talks about the 'Spiral'. This spiral symbol is indeed seen all throughout the Americas, and it is truly an insight into how nature works. We of course know now about the Fibonacci sequence.

The Fibonacci Sequence as it is found in nature is one thing, but how we are able to apply it and use it mathematically is another. Then of course we could also talk about Spiral Dynamics, something we cover in more detail in the Blue Focus.

The list of applications goes on and on of course, as the nature of a spiral itself is indicative of spreading, many levels, and eternity.

It would be hard to find a place in the Americas that doesn't have an important significance and interesting history. Yet very few are aware of what is right under their noses. If you live in America and are not familiar with what your homeland once was, maybe check it out. You could do a little research even if just on Wikipedia and see what their beliefs were. You may be surprised by how interesting and profound your area is.

Like we mentioned before, prophecy was among the most important aspects of the spirituality. It surprises many who hear of the Prophecies of White Feather. These prophecies were supposedly passed down for generations. We know for certain that at the very least the prophecies go back to the 1950's and almost surely do go back a long time. It consists of 9 Signs. The 9 Signs went something like this:

“I am White Feather, a Hopi of the ancient Bear Clan. In my long life I have traveled through this land, seeking out my brothers, and learning from them many things filled with wisdom. I have followed the sacred paths of my people, who inhabit the forests and many lakes in the east, the land of ice and long nights in the north, and the places of holy altars of stone built many years ago by my brothers’ fathers in the south. From all these I have heard the stories of the past, and the prophecies of the future. Today, many of the prophecies have turned to stories, and few are left — the past grows longer, and the future grows shorter.

“And now White Feather is dying. His sons have all joined his ancestors, and soon he too shall be with them. But there is no one left, no one to recite and pass on the ancient wisdom. My people have tired of the old ways — the great ceremonies that tell of our origins, of our emergence into the Fourth World, are almost all abandoned, forgotten, yet even this has been foretold.
The time grows short.

“My people await Pahana, the lost White Brother, as do all our brothers in the land. He will not be like the white men we know now, who are cruel and greedy. We were told of their coming long ago. But still we await Pahana.

“He will bring with him the symbols, and the missing piece of that sacred tablet now kept by the elders, given to him when he left, that shall identify him as our True White Brother.

“The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been fulfilled, and so few are left.

"This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana — men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.

"This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. In his youth, my father saw this prophecy come true with his eyes.

"This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns will overrun the land in large numbers. These White Feather saw with his eyes

"This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron.

“This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be crisscrossed by a giant spider’s web.

"This is the Sixth Sign: The land shall be crisscrossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun.

"This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it.

“This is the Eighth Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.

“And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.

“These are the Signs that great destruction is coming. The world shall rock to and fro. The white man will battle against other people in other lands — with those who possessed the first light of wisdom. There will be many columns of smoke and fire such as White Feather has seen the white man make in the deserts not far from here. Only those which come will cause disease and a great dying. Many of my people, understanding the prophecies, shall be safe. Those who stay and live in the places of my people also shall be safe. Then there will be much to rebuild. And soon — very soon afterward — Pahana will return. He shall bring with him the dawn of the Fifth World. He shall plant the seeds of his wisdom in their hearts. Even now the seeds are being planted. These shall smooth the way to the Emergence into the Fifth World.

“But White Feather shall not see it. I am old and dying. Perhaps you will see it. In time, in time….’

So this brings up a lot of topics and likely questions. Let's start with the mention of the Fourth and Fifth worlds. The Native Americans, particularly the Hopi, have among the longest chain of memory concerning events throughout human history. Three major cataclysms are remembered that have caused us to start over at least three separate times so far.

The First World was destroyed by fire. Whether a meteor impact, volcanic eruptions, or both.

The Second World was destroyed by Ice. We of course know of the Ice Ages.

The Third World was destroyed, of course, by Flood.

The World we live in now, called the Fourth World, is one of materialistic pursuits. This naturally gives way to greed and competition over mundane meaningless matters. It blinds us in such a way that we will cause our own destruction. We're too distracted to do the right thing and protect ourselves and work on preserving our life.

The Fourth World is supposed to be destroyed again by fire. This won't surprise anyone that knows anything about World Religions. It has been foreseen throughout the world. But there truly is another way. Just as fire is capable of destroying but is also capable of providing light, there is a path to enlightenment rather than destruction.

The Pahana, Lost White Brother or True White Brother, must return. He is something like a Savior to the Americas. In many ways, the world is on a course that is like a runaway train with no control over it. There will be a time of Purification. According to Hopi Prophecy (which much has come true already) America as it is now will certainly fall. Let's try to break this prophecy down.

They foretold of Three symbols. The Moha symbol, the Sun symbol and the Red symbol.

The False White man's intrusion gives motion to what was called a Moha symbol.

The Moha is a plant with a flower that looks like a swastika. This symbol would rock the world into war.

The uprising would fail, but just like the plant (which grows back and has a milky secretion) it would come back and war would break out again this time in conjunction with the Sun symbol. This is undoubtedly referring to the World Wars. Japan's flag has a sun and was instrumental obviously in the Second World War.

This prophecy we know was told before the World Wars happened. But it continues. After a rest, all three symbols will rise up and again war will take place but this time it will shake the whole world.

“The third event will depend upon the Red Symbol, which will take command, setting the four forces of nature (Moha) in motion for the benefit of the Sun. When he sets these forces in motion the whole world will shake and turn red and turn against the people who are hindering the Hopi cultural life. To all these people Purification Day will come.

“Humble people will run to him in search of a new world, and the equality that has been denied them. He will come unmercifully. His people will cover the Earth like red ants. We must not go outside to watch. We must stay in our houses.

“He will come and gather the wicked people who are hindering the red people who were here first.

“He will be looking for someone whom he will recognize by his way of life, or by his head or by the shape of his village and his dwellings. He is the only one who will purify us.

“The Purifier, commanded by the Red Symbol, with the help of the Sun and the Moha, will weed out the wicked who have disturbed the way of life of the Hopi, the true way of life on Earth. The wicked will be beheaded and will speak no more. This will be the Purification for all righteous people, the Earth, and all living things on Earth. The ills of the earth will be cured."

We have gathered that the Red Symbol likely represents China and we have known for some time that this will take place sooner or later.

Like the Biblical Wide Road of Destruction and the Narrow Road to Salvation, the Prophecy Rock depicts a similar two path system with one leading to destruction and one to harmony.

Don't dismay about any doomsday messages. In fact, revel in the fact that like all of the storylines you see in movies, read in books, or play in video games, there is a chance for saving the world. The people await (and desperately need) a savior just as it has been prophesied.

The Pahana or true white brother will be known through various things. He will have the missing corner of the Sacred Tablet held by the Fire Clan. This is an all-important prophecy for the current world. And there is more than just one level to it. Once again, for those interested join the Yellow Focus when you are ready.

But much of this so far covers only the Hopi tribe.

All over the Americas there are many, many intriguing tribes. Interconnected stories and details that shed much light. Again, pick any random tribe name from that United States map earlier in the page and you might be astonished when looking into it.

For instance, in Ohio a serpent about a quarter of a mile long rests in a crater. Seven coils mark a sort of calendar with Equinox and Solstice sun positions. This is Serpent Mound, and no one is quite sure exactly who built it. Many people living in Ohio will live out their whole lives without knowing it exists.

Headdress_edited.png

But there is an important thing to note about all of these tribes. There is a direct connection among all of them and they work together in ways that even some of the tribes have forgotten. The Hopi seem to remember.

Long ago they were migrating throughout the land in a spiral-like pattern. As they went, certain groups would break off and settle. These groups that broke off would become their own tribe, experience the spirit of that location, learn the mysteries of that land and would play a role in future prophecies. Coming from South America (where the Olmecs, Incas and Mayans formed) the group we know now as Hopi settled in the desert of Arizona. Settling in the desert ended up protecting them during colonization. Many of the North American Clans that had broken off created sacred sites but were later removed during colonization. Some would remain settled where they were and some would come to meet up in the desert, having names based on some of their experiences and wisdom. The Fire Clan, Snake Clan, Bear Clan are just a few of the clans that would come back to the desert and become Hopi. But the sacred sites throughout all of North America still hold power, secrets and significance to prophecy.

Now it's beyond unfortunate that the Native tribes have all been scattered from their respective settlements, but the people and their sacred wisdom are not gone. There is still time to reawaken the sacred sites and artifacts found many times right beneath your feet. This goes for every branch we have covered.

Once again, for those interested in Prophecy and fulfillment, this is a primary Yellow Focus subject.

The South American cultures, namely the Mayan and Aztec civilizations, are generally more familiar to most. However, they are just as misunderstood. Perhaps the most glaring and comical example of this was when a rumor started circulating concerning the Mayan Calendar. Even fairly intelligent individuals were spreading misinformation on what the calendar supposedly portrayed and many were told that the calendar predicted the end of the world in the year 2012. This was just simply not true in the slightest.

But it is interesting that the Mayans believed in the same fourth age concept. Directly on the other side of the world from the region the Mayans existed (the southern tip of Mexico and modern-day Guatemala) you would be just south of India. And if you remember the Indian Yugas, or ages, they too considered us to be in the fourth age, Kali Yuga. All the way on the other side of the planet.

The Native American Entities are numerous and diverse but just like the Angels of the Judeo-Christian pantheon you can draw lines to the traditional deity archetypes as we have done before.

Similarly, they all acknowledged a Great Spirit which Christians might call God. This Great Spirit presence (often seen as a Grandfather) was the creator of everything including the other deities. Remember that to the Jewish mind, where we got the Bible, this was true as well. El was once the great spirit that created all of the Elohim.

There are so many more stories of importance. Cryptids including the famous sasquatch (or bigfoot) that date back to Native American tribal lore and are now purported to exist by contemporary occupants of those same places. Symbolic narratives that describe paths to enlightenment. Shamanic prophecies and rituals. Instructions of how to better take care of ourselves and this planet. Of blessings, sacred places or artifacts. Stories of powerful curses that have to this day made a mark on the land.

One such curse was the skinwalker curse. Whether or not the origin story is to be believed, few can deny that the land called Skinwalker Ranch has some very strange qualities and occurrences.

The message of the Natives (of every region) is simple, yet the execution is hard:
We must return to a spiritual life.

We are so engulfed in the physical, materialistic pursuits that we have lost our way. This is a primary reason why this website exists. To have a passive, superficial spirituality in the form of a dogmatic religious following isn't enough. You have to cultivate your spirit in the present and for yourself.

Not just read stories about the past or follow simple tenets for people who lived thousands of years ago, or to get on your knees and pray to a God you don't know the name of.
You should be truly connected with the spirit, the world and the universe in the present.

As cliche or generic as this may sound, it is strengthening this 'muscle', that is spirit. This practice of spirit is called 'magick' by those who want to demonize and forbid it. But we hope that you are starting to fully see that really this is just how spirit was practiced all over the world by the ancients. The Biblical authors included.

You would not believe what can be achieved when you learn how the spirit can be wielded. What can be realized just by looking into some of this stuff we are skimming over here. What can be influenced by knowing what strings to pull both within and without.

Unless you are on the Science Path, we will in the next Fundamental lessons be uncovering just the first thing that can be achieved: Divination.

Divination was shared by all cultures and it is the pathway to making Prophecies.

In the next Fundamental, you will finally be learning hands-on skills in how to use the Arcane.

If you are on the Science track and this is your last lesson, you will similarly be getting much more hands-on after this.

The Spiritual side of life had been a part of all human life for thousands of years.
Yet it is waning.

Understanding of it has become nearly non-existent in the mainstream. Both shunned by the scientific community and forgotten by the religious institutions.
Yet when you know where to look, you find a whole unseen universe.

The biggest truth that we can offer is this:
Magic never existed yet the true practice of spirituality is what we would only call magic today.
There is real science behind Astrology, Aura, Spirit, the power of Consciousness and so much more.
The Bible seems to forbid these practices, but it simply isn't true when you look at the translations.
They don't want you to know any of this.
They want to divide true practices of spirituality into forbidden practices and the accepted practices is only conformity to the Church (False Religion).

In the Bible, the most damning scripture that seems to forbid Arcane practices is

Deuteronomy 18:10-12:

10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft,

11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you

Sounds like anything that might be considered 'magic' is strictly forbidden, right?
Obviously, sacrificing your children in a fire is pretty universally forbidden.
But let's look at these other words.

We will show the word in English, its Hebrew translation, and the number to look up the description in the Concordances (Strong's and the Brown-Driver-Briggs).
Then we will follow it with a description of what was meant when you look into this word.

Divination- Qesem- 7081
Meaning 'of the nations of Balaam' or 'of false prophets'. Looking into the historical context, this was charlatan behavior just like we see today! People who falsely claim to be a seer or a prophet. People like John Edwards, Sylvia Brown or Peter Popoff. Remember that the Jews used divination of many types. The most noteworthy being their Urim and Thummim.

Sorcery- Kashaph- 3784
This word had ties to Egyptian practitioners. It meant 'to whisper a spell'. It was practition that was done in secret and actually refers to Dark Arts (as do all of these translations). Working in the dark, or secretly, is one thing. But it is apparent that there was a more specific understanding of Egyptian practices that were being referred to here.

Interpret Omens- Nachash- 5172
This has ties with 'enchantment'. While it is used throughout the Bible seemingly to signify interpreting signs or omens in English, the primitive root is again to 'hiss' or 'whisper'.
This word has more to do with witchcraft than any of the others.
The more we look into this word, the more it seems to have to do with bringing about ill fortune or ill will. Basically cursing someone, or using divination to lay out a cursed future.

Witchcraft- Qasam- 7080
This is very much the same thing as Qesem (seen above).

Casts Spells- Chabar/Cheber- 2266/2267
This word is still strongly linked to the English word Charm. It meant to unite or join something together. Again, to charm someone is indeed a dark art. This has to do with altering someone else's will. We agree that manipulation is a forbidden practice. This practice is also strongly tied to both certain Babylonian practices as well as contentious women or seduction.

One who Consults the Dead- Darash Muth- 1875/4191
This one is just like as it says in English. Literally to 'call upon' or 'resort to' the dead or death. Opening up the portal to the realm of the dead is considered dangerous and we see this happen when the Witch of Endor summons the ghost of Samuel. This could also easily mean working with what we call 'Malefimancy' which is perhaps the darkest art of all and deals with killing things.

Spiritist- Yiddeoni- 3049
Th knowing ones, or the wise ones (acquainted with secrets of the unseen world). This does translate as wizard in English, but specifically a conjurer or a summoner of familiar spirits. That is to say Yiddeoni were specifically practitioners who had a familiar. The context that is used here is in conjunction with the word Ob. This usage implies specifically Necromancy or raising the dead. This is different than the above word which is just working with the dead. This refers to actually raising an undead thrall or familiar such as a ghost.

Medium- Ob (or Yiddeoni Ob)- 178
Meaning 'a bottle made from animal skin', what is implied here is a husk. This is referring to the thrall or familiar itself. This can refer to a ghost or a zombie. It is a dead body of some sort that has been raised or summoned by a practitioner. This is obviously still a dark art and is forbidden by the Bible as well as by the law.

You will notice a couple of things.
First in those times the Jews separated themselves strongly from 'unclean' people and practices.
While we might see it as prejudiced today, try to remember that the Jews had extremely high values and standards as they were given very clear instructions from Yahweh on how to live and how not to live.

So many of these words was referring to specific practices as observed in other cultures. Just like today a Christian might point to the practices of 'Vodoo'. When this was written, the Jews were pointing to Egyptian, Babylonian, or 'nations of Balaam' practices.

It was taken for granted that we would somehow understand the historical context of what they were referring to as back then everyone knew basically what these dark practices were.
Thankfully through scholarly digging we have come to at least an idea of what they were actually referring to.

And obviously, the second thing we n0tice is that they were strictly forbidding practices that were not only considered dark arts in those times, but we still view them today as such.

The branches we have explored, the different cultures who were closer to this spirit realm and the true practices that engage with it will always be relevant.
They will always serve as wells of knowledge and a major resource to look back on when we get into the different categories of practicing the Arcane.
We will be referring to these different societies and the methods they used often.

Our hope is that in your spare time you will get to know at least one of these cultures well.
Learning the Original Ways in light of what we teach here is a good way to start connecting some of the dots for yourself.

Always remember that your own self-knowledge has infinitely more power than just being told what the truth might be.
By us or anyone else.
When you have your own spiritual epiphany, nothing can compare to that truth.
